A new start

It’s Wednesday November 6th, and it’s the eve of the 19th Annual Open House…except this year what has always been routine for us is now changed up and totally different.
You see, for the first time in 18 years we are no longer a “Home Based Business” and our Open House is not being held in our home.
We are now officially out of our comfort zone!

But often in life it’s often those times that you excel when you are gently pushed out of your comfort zone and into new territory.  Such is the case with us.
We started our little candle company in our kitchen back in 1994, making 6 candles at a time.
Our first Christmas in business we sold the very last candle in “our stock” from our cabinet that held about 20 candles of inventory.  We thought “we were all that!”….hahaha, oh how we’ve grown.

Our first Open House was held “at our dining room table” with a couple dozen candles and a catalog you could order some wrought iron accessories from.
Our recent Open House’s have been spread out in the first floor (1,000 sq feet) of our home, turned into a country store for 3 days, open to 300-400 family, friends and strangers.
2013…This Open House…..will be held in our new “Brick and Mortar” store.  Wow…change for sure.

We hope you like where we’ve come, we hope you like what we now present to the world.

This in so many ways is a rebirth of the Adirondack Candle Company.
Much more to come, stay tuned…..
